Description
Silver Coast wines are modeled after traditional, European styles. We also produce wines using hybrid grapes such as our signature Seyval Blanc and Traminette. All of our wines are dry to semi-dry, aged in traditional oak barrels or stainless tanks depending upon the varietal.
Our winery offers full tours of our production facility along with daily wine tastings of your choice. From American Oak Chardonnay to White Merlot and Touriga, we are sure to have a wine that perfectly pairs with your palate. The Ocean Isle Beach location offers cheese plates for purchase to enjoy with our wines or you are welcome to pack a picnic of your own to bring along!
Meet Our Winemaker
Silver Coast wines are expertly crafted by our multi-award-winning Winemaker, Dana Keeler. OUR WINERY MENU:
Stainless Chardonnay
Notes of pears and apple skins entice the nose. The palate is caressed with green apples, pears, and tropical fruits. This wine is crisp, well balanced with fruit and acidity. The finish reveals a hint of minerals. Pairs well with seafood and Swiss cheese. |
Calabash White
Beautifully bright. Light Granny Smith apple and hints of tropical fruit surrender to white flowers on the nose. This light and refreshing wine seduces the palate with crisp apple and a light fruit presence. Hints of lemongrass grace the clean, almost delicate finish. |
Seyval Blanc
The nose of this lovely wine is treated to floral and honeysuckle. The palate is treated to a lively sweetness that is quickly followed by a hint of mango, apricot, and grapefruit. The finish is clean and crisp with a hint of nutmeg. This is a wine very reminiscent of a Germanic styled white. It pairs well with spicy foods, Asian cuisine and creamy cheeses. |
Calabash Moscato
Honeysuckle & roses greet the nose in this wine. Luscious flavors of peach and lychee fill the mouth and linger on the palate. Medium sweet – this wine pairs beautifully with cheeses and fresh fruits or with desserts – pies and tarts! |
White Merlot
Ripe cherry and rose petal aromatics immediately appear on the nose of this vibrant, lighter bodied sipper. This also shows some subtle white pepper spice on the back palate. It is delightful as a picnic wine. Pairs well with fruit and cheese. |
Merlot
Garnet in color and medium in body, this Merlot treats the nose to black currant, black plums and vanilla with coffee overtones. The palate is enticed with mild tannins, vanilla black cherry and mocha with a spice finish. Pair with braciole or a steak marinara. |
Cabernet Sauvignon
This cab is deep plum in color with ripe blackberry and spice aromas nuanced with cedar & smoke. Bold raspberry flavors are laced with licorice & black pepper notes. This full-bodied wine finishes long with raspberry & dark chocolate. Pair with roasted duck with a fruit reduction. |
Touriga “Cape Fear Blood Wine”
Dark cherry in color. Slow descending legs. The nose reveals mushrooms, cedar and earthiness. Hints of vanilla, blueberries, black leather and coffee with soft tannins. Pairs well with steak, game meats and lamb. |
Viognier
A very crisp and clean example of this elegant grape varietal. On the nose, soft nuances of honeysuckle flowers marry seamlessly with white peach and melon fruit. Across the palate, a light minerality caresses the soft fruit and leaves the finish clean and delicate. |
Bella Rosa Dry Rose
This pale rose is crisp, dry and refreshing. It exhibits lovely notes of raspberries and white flowers with a vibrant finish. The versatile rose can be enjoyed anytime and on all occasions. Pairs well with cheeses, fruits, roast pork and poultry. |
Cabernet Franc
This Cabernet Franc is pleasing to the eye with a shimmering ruby color. The discernable legs are slow to descend. The nose is treated to cranberries, red cherries, and pomegranate with hints of violet. The palate is greeted by bright cherry, cranberry, pomegranate with a raisin finish. This medium body wine pairs well with blackened New York strip steak smothered in blue cheese and stuffed jalapeño peppers. |
